Vehicle: 2014 VW Amarok Module: BCM (PQ25 Platform) Issue: Water damage at BCM Connector B, Pin 17 (LIN Master for doors/MFSW).
Diagnosis Steps Taken:
Initial State: No communication with door modules or Multi-Function Steering Wheel (MFSW).
Measurements:
LIN Line Disconnected: 1.40V
LIN Line Connected: 6.6V
Scope: Flat DC line (no data packets).
Isolation: I cut the purple/white wire going to the steering wheel.
Result: LIN communication returned for the doors. I can see button inputs in BCM live data via OBD.
Current Problem:
Before Fix: Windows worked locally (from their own door switches) despite the LIN fault.
After Fix (Now): LIN communication is established, and the BCM sees the button requests, but no windows operate (neither up nor down). The actuators are not responding to the BCM commands.
